| Folklore, ritual, and the curious unknown
This is my little corner of the internet where creativity, ritual and curiosity take root. This space is a home for the projects, worlds and ideas I’m growing, and a place where I can share the things that truly light me up.
After the longest time (and many, many attempts at re-doing and intervening in my own nonsense), I realised that I’m not putting my best interests, mainly my health, both physical and mental, at the forefront of everything I do. Nothing that I was doing was for my benefit. I’ve been in some type of work since I was 15, and the 9-5 Monday to Friday thing, especially over the last 18 months, has officially reduced me to a husk. I’ve suffered with migraines since I was 11 – thanks to hormones and genetics – and they spiked dramatically from 2024 into 2025. I realised that I can’t live with daily headaches and weekly migraines, giving all of myself to work only to have nothing left at the end of the day. It was becoming the most miserable existence, and at the beginning of February, I decided that enough was enough. So I’m throwing myself fully into Whimroot and Grovebound Path (and a part-time job IRL – I have bills to pay lol) to see where this adventure will take me.
I can now finally focus on weaving together all of the threads of my work: folklore-infused divination, atmospheric storytelling, and the kind of making that feels like tending to a small enchanted garden.
Whimroot
Whimroot is my creative hearth. It’s where I’ll share works in progress, behind-the-scenes glimpses, seasonal musings, and the messy, magical progress of building things that feel alive. It’s also a place for me to explore the intersections between ritual, creativity and ecological care. You’ll also find other branches of my work here, too: TTRPG scenarios, worldbuilding experiments, visual systems, and any creative creature that wanders in and asks to be made. Although I will leave the art to the professionals!
Fun Fact: Whimroot is also the name of one of the grove spirits to whom I feel a deep connection through my work, so it made sense to name it after them. Magical, primal, a little bit sassy – they are my non-corporeal friend through my endeavours.
Grovebound Path
You’ll also see me talk about the Grovebound Path here – the divination frameworks, readings and lore that I’m crafting as a larger system. I’ve been practising in a variety of forms for the last 16 years, but GBP truly feels like home. It’s so humbling and exciting to be called to create something so rooted in myself and the world we live in, and have such a deep ancestral connection to home. You can see some of my offerings on my Etsy store here.
I’m not here to churn out content or subject you to dodgy renditions of TikTok dances. I’m here to store what feels real, true, timely and rooted. Some seasons will be abundant, and others will be quiet. Either way, this space will grow in its own time and rhythm, and you’re more than welcome to wander with me.
If you’re drawn to ritual, creativity, folklore or the slow magic of making things with intention, with a weird little Welsh witch at the path’s beginning, lantern in hand, I’m glad you’re here – let’s see what grows.
